The government now allows non-essential travel by Filipinos amid the coronavirus disease pandemic.
In a televised briefing Tuesday, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque announced that all travel restrictions relative to outbound travel of Filipinos have been lifted.
“Lahat ng travel restrictions na may kinalaman sa outbound travel ng mga Pilipino inalis na,” said Roque.
The Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases, he added, issued several requirements on the non-essential outbound travel of Filipinos.
These are:
-submission of confirmed roundtrip tickets for those traveling on tourist visas
-adequate travel health insurance to cover rebooking and accommodation expenses
-allowed entry by the destination country in accordance with their travel, health, and quarantine restrictions
-execution of a declaration acknowledging the risks involved in traveling; and
-follow the guidelines of returning overseas Filipinos of the NTF upon return
