‘Wala kaming tinatago’: Palace welcomes call for ‘special audit’ of coronavirus spending

By Prince Golez

Malacañang on Thursday welcomed the move of seven senators who signed a resolution urging the Commission on Audit (COA) to conduct a special audit of coronavirus (Covid-19) funds.

The lawmakers cited allegations that billions of taxpayers money may have been lost to corruption

In a press conference held in Quezon City, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque assured proper accountability for funds.

Those who signed the resolution were Senators Risa Hontiveros, Ralph Recto, Juan Edgardo Angara, Panfilo Lacson, Franklin Drilon, Francis Pangilinan, and Leila de Lima.
