An employee assigned to the Office of the Speaker has tested positive for Covid-19, according to an advisory from House Secretary General Jose Luis Montales.
The unnamed employee last reported for work on July 28, the official said.
“He went home about three (3) hours later after experiencing fever, body malaise, and decreased sense of smell,” Montales said.
“He’s now afebrile and has fully recovered his sense of smell. But he has mild cough. He is on home quarantine,” he said.
Montales said contact tracing is ongoing for those who had close contact with the employee.
There are now 38 House employees who have tested positive for Covid-19.
