Ford Philippines is entering the compact crossover segment with its all-new Territory. Aimed at young professionals and starting families, the Territory offers a technology-driven driving experience wrapped around a sleek, stylish urban-ready design.
Rooted with the Ford DNA, the Territory is designed by Ford Design Studio in Melbourne, Australia. Its contemporary appearance is backed up by modern exterior styling cues such as standard automatic LED headlights with DRLs and LED taillights.
Exclusive to the top-trim Titanium+ variant are 18-inch alloy wheels, a grille finished in gloss black with chrome inserts, rain-sensing front windshield wipers, power-folding mirrors, puddle lamps, and chrome exterior door handles.
Done as a joint-venture partnership with Jiangling Motors Corporation (JMC), Ford harnessed global engineering know-how by rigorously testing the Territory at proving grounds located in both Australia and China.
Under the hood, the Territory is powered by a 1.5-liter EcoBoost engine. This single-turbo engine delivers 143 horsepower and 225 Nm of torque giving it a balance between power and fuel efficiency. This is mated exclusively to a CVT transmission with Sports mode. Thanks to its European design, it offers lower maintenance requirements with its once-a-year service interval.
Inside the cabin, the Ford Territory doesn’t scrimp on premium features. The seats are finished in perforated leather, complemented by a leather steering wheel with satellite controls. The Smart Keyless Entry with Push Button Start gives the modern-tech factor expected of most new vehicles today. This compact crossover also comes with speed-sensing power door locks, an auto dimming rear view mirror, high-mounted USB port, among other convenient features.
Ford Territory owners can also enjoy its 10-inch touchscreen in-vehicle infotainment system with adjustable quad view. There are also 4 USB ports that allow multiple device charging and multiple speakers (up to eight) for maximum entertainment. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is standard, but exclusive to the Titanium+ is a wireless charging pad.
When it comes to safety, the Ford Territory takes into account both driver and passengers. It offers a suite of driver-assist technologies, beginning with the Ford Co-Pilot360, which is a package available in the Titanium+ variant bundling Active Park Assist, a 360-degree Around-View Monitor, Adaptive Cruise Control with Forward Collision Warning, Autonomous Emergency Braking, Blind Spot Information System, and Lane Departure Warning. Other standard safety technologies are Electronic Stability Control, Hill Launch Assist, six airbags, rear parking sensors, and more.
The all-new Territory is now available at all Ford dealerships nationwide beginning today in two variants: Trend and Titanium+. It’s available in six colors: Ruby Red, Diffused Silver, and Panther Black for both variants, with Star White exclusive to the Trend, and Crystal White Pearl and Moonstone Blue exclusive to the Titanium+. The 2020 Ford Territory Trend is priced at P 1.179 million, while the Territory Titanium+ is priced at P 1.299 million.
As an introductory offer, all purchases of the all-new Ford Territory until September 15 will come with a free 3-year scheduled service plan (SSP) for a worry-free ownership experience.
