MalacaƱang has expressed its condolences to the family former Commission on Elections (Comelec) chairman Sixto Brillantes Jr. who passed away Tuesday morning.
Brillantes, who contracted the coronavirus last month, died of complications brought about by the disease.
“We condole with the family of chair Brillantes,” Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said during his virtual presser in Davao City.
Roque said Brillantes “served nation well” as poll chief from January 2011 to February 2015.
