Here’s round 2 of the “perwisyo” battle between an opposition politiko and a pro-Duterte celebrity.
Actor Robin Padilla has unleashed a counterattack at his critic former Senator Antonio Trillanes IV, saying the former rebel soldier actually brought “perwisyo” or suffering to the nation
In a lengthy Instagram post, Padilla turned the tables on Trillanes when he reminded the public about the failed mutinies he launched that weakened the economy.
He also accused Trillanes of fooling some Filipinos after securing a senatorial seat in the past elections despite his misdeeds.
Padilla also lashed out at Trillanes for doing nothing but complain and criticize the government.
He said Trillanes was like a kid with a tantrum when Duterte refused to be his running mate in the 2016 presidential elections.
Padilla asked Trillanes.
The action star told Trillanes to straighten up and not to drag him in his politicking. Padilla asked to be spared since he is neither a politician nor a candidate in the next elections.
“Pakiusap wag mo ako idamay sa away ninyo sa Pulitika dahil hindi ako pulitiko at lalong hindi ako kandidato sa 2022 na katulad mo,” he said.
Trillanes earlier criticized Padilla for telling people to take action and not complain about the government’s efforts to battle the coronavirus. The former senator told Padilla that Duterte has been clueless in dealing with the outbreak.
Trillanes also lumped Padilla with Duterte for allegedly bringing suffering to the nation.
Padilla however defended his right to voice his sentiment about issues as well as the country’s politicians.
Padilla said he refused to respond to Trillanes when he ended his Senate stint out of respect for his family.
“Hindi kita inaano o binabangga magmula ng hindi kana senador bilang respeto sa iyong pamilya kayat umayos ka rin,” the actor said.
