Senate President Tito Sotto has asked Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) president Ricardo Morales not to rely on superheroes to do his job and instead focus on eliminating corruption in the state corporation.
In a post on Twitter, Sotto said Superman is not needed to clean up the corruption-tainted health agency.
“Tanggalin mo lahat ng corrupt, hindi kailangan si Superman!” Sotto told Morales.
Sotto disputed Morales’ comment that even Superman could not resolve the corruption mess in PhilHealth. A government probe has recently been launched into the alleged widespread corruption in PhilHealth, including controversial overpayments of medical claim and alleged overpriced IT equipment.
