1-Pacman solon reveals he tested positive for Covid-19

1-Pacman party-list Rep. Eric Pineda revealed on Saturday that he tested positive for the new coronavirus.

The chair of the House labor and employment committee urged everyone who recently had contact with him to take all the necessary precautions.

“My dear colleagues n friends, i would like to inform everyone that i tested positive for covid 19 today. For those that i may have had contact the last 5 days, please take the necessary precautions. God bless,” Pineda said in a Viber message to reporters.

He made the announcement hours after House Secretary General Jose Luis Montales reported the 63rd and 64th Covid-19 cases in the House.

“We have two (2) new confirmed cases, which bring our total active cases to thirteen (13) as of today, September 5,” he said in an advisory.

“The first is an employee assigned at the Oversight Committee who last reported for work on Sept 1 and 2. She got herself tested after experiencing chills, colds, and loss of smell,” Montales said.

“The second is an employee from the Information and Communications Technology Service who last reported for work on August 24 and 26. He underwent testing after developing fever, body malaise, cough, and loss of smell,” he said.

“Both are NOT close contacts of any confirmed case in HRep. Contact tracing is ongoing,” Montales said.
