The resignation of Aldin Ayo as head of UST men’s basketball team won’t absolve him from any liability, Malacañang said.
Ayo, together with Growling Tigers assistant coaches Mcjour Luib and Jinino Manansala, resigned following the team’s alleged “bubble” training camp in Sorsogon during community quarantine.
“Kung meron talagang violation, hahabulin pa rin ‘yan. Tuluy-tuloy pa rin (ang imbestigasyon),” Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque told The Manila Times in a phone interview.
Roque added that the Department of Justice will determine if there’s criminal liability.
Former UST Growling Tiger CJ Cansino earlier revealed details of the team’s training bubble amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Cansino also confirmed that he was booted out of the team and has transferred to the University of the Philippines Fighting Maroons.
