The 2021 Hyundai Tucson Promises to be a Head-Turning Compact SUV

Hyundai has just released the first images of the all-new 2021 Tucson. The newest iteration of Hyundai’s best-selling compact SUV, it’s dropping in this month.

Before then, the images reveal the all-new Tucson’s defining design cue: the Parametric Hidden Lights. According to Hyundai, it imbues a strong first impression with the DRLs seamlessly integrated into the jewel-like grille, only revealed when turned on.

Hyundai says that the all-new Tucson is also bigger and wider than all the previous versions. It will have a long hood, short overhangs, and a stretched wheelbase giving it a “coupe-like character.” The Korean carmaker also promises yet another interpretation of the parametric design at the side.

Inside, the 2021 Tucson goes with “Interspace” or a feel of “entering a neatly-organized room where everyday concerns disappear.” It’s a tad too specific, but for those who don’t get it, Hyundai says it’ll have the look and feel of a modern boutique hotel where comfort and convenience are the priority, and where space, technology, and information intersect harmoniously.

The Tucson will feature a lower instrument panel display and will remove the gauge cluster housing for a de-cluttered appearance. The broad ridge of the dashboard blends seamlessly with the doors, wrapping around front occupants. The vertically oriented, fully integrated center fascia descends to the console, while twin silver garnish lines streams from the center fascia to the rear doors.

The fourth-generation Tucson drops in this September 15.
