LOOK: Duterte visits parents’ grave in Davao City

By Prince Golez

Ahead of Undas commemoration, President Rodrigo Duterte on Wednesday night visited the tomb of his parents at the Roman Catholic Cemetery in Davao City

He was accompanied by his common-law wife, Honeylet Avanceña, based on photos released by Malacañang.

Duterte’s father, Vicente, was a lawyer and former governor of the then unified province of Davao, while his mother, Soledad, was a teacher and civic leader.

As an annual tradition, the President visits the family mausoleum during All Saints’ or All Souls’ Day even when he was still mayor of Davao City.

All public and private cemeteries in the Philippines will be temporarily closed from October 31 to November 3 in an attempt to prevent the spread of the coronavirus disease.
