MalacaƱang said private sector-led Project Antibody Rapid Test Kits or Project ARK has committed to provide coronavirus disease testing for returning overseas Filipino workers and overseas Filipinos (OFs).
Project Ark is ready to subject OFWs to polymerase chain reaction (PCR)-based testing while the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) resolves its payment issues with the Philippine Red Cross, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said in a televised briefing Thursday.
Roque also noted that the Philippine Airport Diagnostic Laboratory, a private laboratory at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport, also committed to offer PCR tests for a lower cost.
“Handa din silang magbigay ng PCR test sa mga bumabalik na OFWs natin sa kaparehong halaga na sinisingil ng Philippine Red Cross,” he said.
