Vice President Leni Robredo made the comment after welcoming news that her staff members have tested negative for the new coronavirus disease.
With the negative test results, Robredo announced on Facebook that her team will resume activities Wednesday.
“All of the OVP staff who were exposed last week tested negative. Thank God!! All the activities today and the succeeding days will proceed as scheduled,” she said.
Robredo also expressed gratitude for those who offered prayers for her and her team.
“Thank you all for your prayers and well wishes. They are very much appreciated,” she said.
The Vice President is expected to undergo a coronavirus test too after she and her staff were exposed to a COVID positive patient last week. So far, Robredo went on self-quarantine and has shown no symptoms of the illness.
“Been receiving a lot of messages. Thank you for your prayers. I have no symptoms at all,” she said.
Robredo hopes she will also test negative for the coronavirus.
“All of us who were exposed are on self quarantine and are observing all the necessary protocols. We were exposed Wednesday morning and will be swabbed tomorrow, the 7th day since our exposure, which was what the doctor recommended. Praying and hoping for negative results,” she said.
