Defer travel plans for the holidays, DOH advises Pinoys

By Prince Golez

The Department of Health (DOH) won’t advise the public to travel to the provinces this holiday season.

Health Secretary Francisco Duque III on Monday urged Filipinos to postpone their travel to avoid catching the coronavirus disease (Covid-19).

The secretary also reminded everyone that the fight against Covid-19 is a shared responsibility.

“At kinakailangan po magkaisa tayo dito para mapanalunan po natin, maging tagumpay po ang ating laban sa COVID-19 at makamit ang atin pong mga hangarin na mababa lamang ang ating kaso that we can manage this to the extent that our health system’s capacity that we have already, in fact, enhanced or increased ay huwag naman pong ma-overwhelm,” he added.
