Duterte names Customs personnel dismissed for corruption

By Prince Golez

President Rodrigo Duterte named officials and personnel of the Bureau of Customs who have been dismissed from service for corruption-related crimes.

In his weekly speech Thursday evening, Duterte read the names of various Customs personnel “who are now under quasi-judicial scrutiny.”

He mentioned Lomontod Macabando, Engr. Ramon Hernandez, Raymond Cabigon, Gil Senen Gamil, Vincent “Butch” Gamboa, Atty. Lyceo Martinez, Filomeno Salazar, Vicente Torres, and Renly Tiñana.

Also dismissed were Jaybee Raul Cometa, Agnes Fabian, Allan Pagkalinawan, Ramon Anquilan, and Aristotle Tumala.

Duterte earlier ordered the creation of the mega task force, to be led by the Department of Justice, to investigate all allegations of corruption in the bureaucracy.
