Duterte willing to help Bangsamoro extend transition up to 2025

By Prince Golez

President Rodrigo Duterte will support the passage of legislation extending the Bangsamoro transition period from year 2022 to 2025, his spokesman said Thursday.

In his virtual presser, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said Duterte will help the Bangsamoro Transition Authority (BTA) get congressional approval for the extension of the transition period of the region.

On Monday, Duterte met with officials of the Bangsamoro Government in Davao City, where Chief Minister Ahod Ebrahim presented to the chief executive the accomplishments of the Bangsamoro government, including priority codes and legislative acts that the BTA need to enact.
