LOOK: Duterte makes aerial inspection of typhoon damage

By Prince Golez

President Rodrigo Duterte conducted on Thursday afternoon an aerial survey of areas devastated by typhoon Ulysses in Metro Manila.

Duterte, accompanied by his former longtime aide and Senator Christopher “Bong” Go, visited the areas of Marikina City and Rizal.

In a statement, Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque said the Chief Executive made the aerial surveillance after attending the virtual 37th ASEAN Summit.

In a prerecorded video aired early today, Duterte said the government was “on top of the situation” as Ulysses ravaged several parts of Luzon.

He likewise directed government agencies and local government units to mobilize resources to deliver assistance to affected communities.
