Malacañang is saddened by the survey results showing that 82 percent of adult Filipinos believe their lives worsened in the past 12 months.
According to a new Social Weather Stations survey, four out of five adult Filipinos said their lives got worse in the past year. Eleven percent said their quality of life did not change, while six percent said it got better.
“Siyempre nalulungkot tayo diyan. Pero ‘yan naman po ay dahil sa pandemiya,” Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said in a televised briefing Thursday.
Roque, however, expressed confidence that the quality of life in the Philippines will improve with the development of a potential vaccine against the coronavirus disease (Covid-19).
“Tingin ko naman, from now on, bubuti na po ang buhay natin, papalabas na ang bakuna. Natuto na rin tayong mabuhay bagamat nandiyan ang Covid-19.
