Para kay lolo at lola: Hontiveros gives immunopacks to Pampanga, Bulacan elderly

Senior citizens have a special place in the heart of Senator Risa Hontiveros.

The senator mounted another campaign to distribute “immunopacks” to the seniors living in in Pampanga and Bulacan. She sought to ensure the health and protection of the elderly since they remain vulnerable in times of calamity and pandemic.

“Pinagpatuloy namin ang LAKAS-RESISTENSIYA PARA KAY LOLO’T LOLA relief operations simula kahapon. Ito ang mga tinurnover namin na immunopacks sa ating mga senior citizens sa Pampanga at Bulacan, at sana makatulong ito ng kaunti sa ating lolo’t lola ,” she wrote on Instagram.

“Sa panahon ng sakuna, bagyo man ito o pandemya, the elderly remain the most vulnerable sector because of their health and physical conditions,” she said.

The immunopacks distributed by the camp of Hontiveros usually include vitamins, milk, dental hygiene kits and other basic necessities.

Hontiveros committed to continue to extend assistance to the senior community to protect and promote their wellbeing.

“Hangga’t hindi pa tuluyang natatapos ang krisis na dala ng COVID-19, patuloy tayong maghahatid ng mga lakas-resistensya packs bilang proteksyon at tulong na maitawid sila sa yugtong ito ,” she said.

Pumunta kami ng Pampanga kaninang umaga para magbigay ng LAKAS RESISTENSYA PACKS para sa ating mga lolo’t lola. Malapit sa puso ko ang mga senior citizens kaya naman bukod sa pagsusulong ng universal social pension para sa ating mga senior citizens, ginagawa din natin ang lahat sa abot ng ating makakaya para makapagbigay ng anumang tulong.
