The three daughters of Vice President Leni Robredo couldn’t help but see the parallelism between United States President Donald Trump’s cheating claim and former senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos’ allegation he was robbed of the vice presidency in 2016.
Tricia, Robredo’s second daughter, tweeted Wednesday (November 4) that Trump’s claim about an effort to “steal the election” sounded familiar.
“Uy parang may ganitong linyahan din dito nung 2016 [eyeballs emoji],” Tricia said as a remark to ANC’s tweet which read, “Twitter flags Trump’s tweet alleging an effort to ‘steal the election’ as misleading #Election2020 #USElections2020.”
Robredo’s youngest daughter, Jillian, replied to Tricia’s tweet: “Baka paggising lamang na si Biden sa key states kung saan lamang si Trump tapos sasabihin dinaya [eyeballs emoji] [giggling emoji].”
Aika, the Vice President’s eldest child, said in response: “BIDEN LUGAAAAW.” She followed this up with the tweet: “Biden DILAWAN!”
Several news networks have been reporting since Wednesday that former US Vice President Joe Biden was ahead of Trump in electoral college votes.
Trump has threatened to go to the US Supreme Court as he insisted that he has already won the elections.
Marcos has a pending poll protest before the Supreme Court, sitting as the Presidential Electoral Tribunal, against Robredo. He lost to the Vice President by a margin of about 200,000 votes.
