President Rodrigo Duterte will sign the proposed 2021 budget bill on December 28, Malacañang said.
“Ang alam ko kahapon nilinaw na ang pagpirma ng budget ay sa 28th,” Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said in a virtual presser Tuesday.
Roque also said the signing of the 2021 General Appropriations Act will be held in Davao City.
“Meron pong limang mga taga Kamara de Representante at limang taga Senado na dadalo doon sa signing ng budget,” he added.
Next year’s P4.5 trillion budget is 9.9 percent higher than this year’s budget of P4.1 trillion.
