Lacson: Staying home this Christmas feels good, giving gifts to homeless, orphans feels better

The coronavirus pandemic has changed the way Filipinos are spending the holiday season. But there are still ways to spread the Christmas cheer during these trying times.

With large Christmas gatherings prohibited to curb the outbreak, Senator Panfilo Lacson has suggested holiday gift-giving to the homeless and orphans. He said while staying at home “feels good,” giving holiday presents “feels better.”

“Nawa’y maging makabuluhan ang ating Pasko para sa bawat pamilyang Pilipino, lalo sa panahon ng pandemya,” he said in a Facebook post.

“No parties, no trips, no shopping. If there’s anything to think positive about this pandemic, staying home for the holiday season actually feels good. Sending gifts to the homeless, orphans, and the neglected aged even feels better,” he said.

Nawa’y maging makabuluhan ang ating Pasko para sa bawat pamilyang Pilipino, lalo sa panahon ng pandemya.
