Malacañang on Thursday agreed with the statement of Interior Undersecretary Jonathan Malaya that government officials should set an example by following health protocols amid the coronavirus pandemic.
“Tama po siguro yan. Lesson earned na poo yan,” Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said in a virtual presser held in Palawan.
“Kaya nung pumasok tayo sa Palawan, pagpaumanhin niyo po, I really demanded everyone should observe social distancing,” he added.
Earlier, Roque earlier drew flak for attending a crowded local government event in Bantayan Island in Cebu province.
The Department of the Interior and Local Government is currently investigating the mass gathering the secretary attended last Sunday.
