Tarlac 1st District Rep. Carlos “Charlie” Cojuangco has found the one.
Cojuangco has fallen in love with former Malacañang official China Jocson and will tie the knot next year.
Charlie is the son of late tycoon and political kingpin Eduardo “Danding” Cojuangco. He is a widower of the late beauty queen and actress Rio Diaz.
Jocson previously served as assistant to Presidential Spokesman Ernesto Abella. She was a former broadcast journalist at GMA-7.
The politiko couple had a lovely betrothal ceremony, a Catholic ritual before the actual wedding, at the Josemaria Escriva Shrine in Tarlac on Tuesday, December 29. Surrounded by family and friends, the couple signified intention to get married in the future.
Charlie got some love and support from his family, including his brother Mark Cojuangco and his son Jaime, during the ceremony. China’s brothers and friends also attended the event.
Among those present at the betrothal rites were Tarlac Governor Susan Yap and other local government officials.
Actress Ana Roces also sent her congratulations to the newly engaged couple. “Love found its wayCongratulations on your betrothal #chinaxcharlie,” she said in an Instagram post.
On a sidetone, she shared that all guests secured negative COVID test results before attending the ceremony.
“All guests swabbed during this intimate event were negative,” she said.
