Malacañang assured that more indigent senior citizens will receive their social pension before the year ends.
Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque was reacting to the appeal of Senior Citizen Partylist Rep. Rodolfo Ordanes to President Rodrigo Duterte for the immediate release of the pending undistributed social pension.
Many senior citizens have yet to receive their social pension for the months of July to December.
The Palace official said that as of second semester of 2020, the DSWD has the social pension of 2,973,736 senior citizens.
