No changes in quarantine status this month – Palace

Malacañang denied reports about possible changes to the current quarantine classifications this month.

In a virtual presser Thursday, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque dismissed as “fake news” talks of lockdown restrictions during the holidays.

“Napakadaming fake news na sa Disyembre raw magbabago ang quarantine classification, hindi naman totoo yan,” according to Roque.

He added that decisions on the country’s quarantine classification are carried out on a monthly basis.

“Monthly na ang ating quarantine classifications. Kaya nga ‘wag tayong magpabaya baka pagdating ng Enero eh mas strikto naman ang ating quarantine lalung-lalo na dito sa Metro Manila,” the spokesperson said.
