Power of pets: Dog Santi helps Lorenzana relieve stress

Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana is a dog lover.

The country’s defense chief has posed a photo with his adorable dog Santi on Twitter, saying his four-legged friend keeps him company. Lorenzana also relies on Santi to reduce stress at work.

“Do you think Santi would make it when he applies to Military Dog Training Unit?” he asked, sharing a photo with his dog in his office.

“For now, officer Santi is in charge of keeping me company and relieving my stress when I get too caught up in work,” he said.

Lorenzana’s online post of his dog drew instant admiration from former Labor Undersecretary Susan Ople.

“Sec, mukha siyang stuffed toy! Ang cute!” she tweeted, then asking Foreign Affairs Secretary Teodoro Locsin Jr. if he also owns a pet.

Lorenzana replied: “Thank you, @susanople. He’s so playful.”
