As part of health protocols at the Clark airport during the pandemic, executives and employees of the state-run Clark International Airport Corp. (CIAC) are swabbed every quarter to prevent the spread of Covid-19 in the facilities.
Retired police general Aaron Aquino, CIAC president, and CIAC VP for operations Irish Calaguas recently joined employees of CIAC who recently took the Polymerase chain reaction tests (RT-PCR) at the agency’s corporate office building.
Aquino said CIAC provides free PCR testing for its 114 employees on a quarterly basis to help in curbing the spread of COVID-19 in the workplace.
The CIAC chief also recommended that all government and private agencies do the same to help prevent further transmission and to provide immediate treatment to those found to be carriers of the virus.
CIAC’s safety protocols include two sets of skeleton staff reporting weekly for work, daily check-up of employees by in-house nurses, the prohibition of large group gathering, and the set-up of a Client Transaction Area for visitors and stakeholders.
