Berna Romulo Puyat finds ‘new happy place’

Tourism Secretary Bernadette Romulo Puyat is enjoying the artwork in this popular museum in Antipolo City.

The tourism chief made another trip to Pinto Museum, a contemporary museum outside Manila, saying it has become her “new happy place.” It was the second time this month that Puyat visited the museum.

“A morning well spent🌿🌺🍀🍃🪴 @pinto.art.museum_official is my new happy place and it’s only 45 mins away from QC♥” she wrote on Instagram.

“Did i mention that their food is also delicious😋” she quipped.

Pinto Museum, founded in 2010, showcases the art collection of Filipino neurologist and patron of the arts Dr. Joven Cuanang.

Just several days ago, Puyat visited the museum and became awestruck by the beautiful artwork.
She was accompanied by Cuanang in touring the art establishment.

“A couple of days ago I was able to enjoy the beautiful and thought-provoking Filipino art at the @pinto.art.museum_official in Antipolo,” she said a post dated January 16.

“The museum was named Pinto (door) by Dr. Joven Cuanang because it was envisioned to be “an opening for new possibilities and progress; opening for others to see what the Philippines is like and an opening for us to appreciate the culture of the Filipino,” she said.

She recommended to the public to include Pinto Museum in their next visit to Antipolo.

“The sprawling grounds, fresh air and lush greenery make it an ideal place to visit during these times. I also got a sneak peak of the Arboretum, filled with some of the most desirable endemic plants a plantita could ask for. With the current cool weather, I definitely recommend a visit to the Pinto Art Museum!” she said.
