Binabanatan dahil sa P2B! Pulong’s BFF Eric Yap turns tables on Belgica

ACT-CIS party-list Rep. Eric Yap claims Presidential Anti-Corruption Commission (PACC) Commissioner Greco Belgica included him in the list of lawmakers allegedly involved in corruption because he didn’t grant a favor supposedly asked by their common friend.

In a December 29 interview on DZRH’s “Dos Por Dos,” Yap accused Belgica of plotting his removal as chairman of the House appropriations committee due to his refusal to insert a P2-billion project in the P4.5-trillion national budget for 2021 at their common friend’s request.

While Yap clarified that Belgica had nothing to do with the P2-billion project reportedly asked by their common friend, he said their mutual connection was able to have insertions made in previous budgets when he was not yet the appropriations committee chair.

Yap, a close friend of Davao City Rep. Paolo Duterte, was named by President Rodrigo Duterte this week as among the lawmakers allegedly involved in corruption based on a list furnished by PACC.

Duterte, however, clarified there’s no solid evidence yet against Yap and eight other lawmakers establishing their involvement in corruption.
