President Rodrigo Duterte lauded Secretary Mark Villar for the ongoing revamp of officials and personnel at the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).
During the inauguration of the Metro Manila Skyway Stage 3 project Thursday, Duterte commended Villar for complying with his directive.
“I’d like to congratulate Secretary Villar for initiating a total revamp sa DPWH and there will be more to come,” the Chief Executive said in a speech.
“Did I not tell you a little about a few days ago o months that I will dedicate the remaining years of my mayorship dito sa corruption? Talagang upakan ko kayo. Hindi ninyo naalaala iyon, pasensiya kayo,” he added.
Earlier, Villar said he has dismissed district engineers allegedly involved in corrupt practices.
A reorganization would soon be implemented in the agency, he added.
