MalacaƱang has assured immediate and medium-term support to deal with the rising cost of food commodities.
Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque made the statement amid high prices for food and agricultural products despite the price freeze due to the coronavirus disease.
Roque said in a televised briefing Tuesday.
The government, he also said, would also implement the “Bantay ASF sa Barangay” program to prevent the spread of disease.
Medium-term solutions also include the expansion of aquaculture and joint fishing of commercial and municipal fisherfolk.
