‘Ang pulitika dito kababuyan’: Inday Sara won’t enter 2022 presidential race – Duterte

President Rodrigo Duterte once again said his daughter, Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio, will not run for president in the 2022 elections.

He made the statement after Surigao del Sur Governor Alexander Pimentel urged the President to convince Sara or Senator Christopher Go to run continue his political legacy.

“Inday Sara is not running,” the Duterte patriarch said during a situational briefing on the effects of Typhoon Auring in Tandag City, Surigao del Sur Tuesday.

“I have really really put my foot down. Naaawa ako sa anak ko. Ang pulitika dito sa (Pilipinas) kababuyan,” he also said.

Sara earlier topped the January 26 to February 1 survey conducted by OCTA Research for possible 2022 presidential and vice presidential bets.

She was followed by Senators Grace Poe and Manny Pacquiao, former Senator Bongbong Marcos and Manila Mayor Isko Moreno.
