President Rodrigo Duterte is now willing to be vaccinated against coronavirus disease in public, his spokesman said Monday.
Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said Duterte has to announce when it will be done.
“I think The President has said that he will have himself vaccinated publicly,” Roque said in a virtual presser.
“That is, of course, in recognition of the fact na nagaantay ng senyales ang taumbayan kung talaga sila ay magpapabakuna o hindi. I think, that is a policy that we will now pursue,” he added.
Last month, the Palace said Duterte, who preferred vaccines manufactured in China, decided to receive his COVID jab in private because he’s going to be injected in his buttocks.
