National Policy Against Covid-19 chief implementer and vaccine czar Secretary Carlito Galvez Jr. may have been trained in the military to survive harsh environments, but there are times when the cold does bother him.
Galvez said on Monday (February 8) that he suffered from flatulence or gassy stomach after visiting a cold storage facility as part of preparations for the arrival of COVID-19 vaccines.
He shared his experience when President Rodrigo Duterte asked him during a televised briefing in Malacanang if the temperature at the cold storage facility was indeed freezing.
“Yes, sir.
COVID-19 vaccines will be kept in cold storage facilities when they arrive in the Philippines to ensure they don’t go to waste. The type of facility will depend on the temperature requirements for various brands of vaccine.
