Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque on Tuesday accused Dr. Tony Leachon, former consultant of the National Task Force (NTF) against Covid-19, of “sourgraping” following his call for the abolition of the Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases.
Roque was reacting to Leachon’s call to abolish the Task Force for its decision of reopening cinemas which he claimed has no scientific basis.
“Sir, the President has addressed your views. You’re sourgraping because he did not appoint you as Secretary of Health. Pasensyahan na lang po,” the Palace official said in a televised briefing.
For his part, NTF Against Covid-19 chief implementer Carlito Galvez, Jr. said Leachon was removed from his post, saying that he had an “ulterior motive aside from serving our people.”
“Si Dr. Leachon wala talagang word of honor yan, talagang mahirap makasama,” added Galvez.
