Actor-turned-politiko Richard Gomez is hooked on fishing.
The Ormoc City mayor went fishing over the weekend and proudly shared his catch for the day — a barracuda — on Instagram.
Gomez, an actor and an athlete before joining government, described his fishing method as trolling wherein baits are towed behind a moving vessel.
“Caught a barracuda at the Ormoc Bay today #trollingfishing #shimanofishing #rapala,” he captioned a photo with his fish catch.
In the photo, Gomez flashed a wide smile while holding a large barracuda, a predatory fish, on a white boat. The photo, posted on Saturday, February 6, has earned more than 21,000 likes on Instagram.
Barracudas, known to be swift and powerful, are found in warm and tropical regions.
