President Duterte has apparently no qualms watching himself on screen.
The President’s former aide and now Senator Bong Go took to Facebook to share photos of Duterte watching his taped public address last Monday night, March 15. The photos showed Duterte and his aide enjoying cake slices and soft drinks during a late-night screening at the President’s residence in Manila. The photos were taken past 10 p.m. Monday based on the house clock.
“Kain muna kami ni Tatay Dugong ng Maruya na SAGING habang nanonood ng Programang ‘TALK TO THE PEOPLE,'” Go wrote on Facebook.
Duterte’s speech was aired on state-run People’s Television network Monday night. Before taping his speech, the President met with a handful of Cabinet members at the Palace. Some officials attended the meeting via Zoom as a COVID-19 precaution.
