Metro Manila mayors have decided to close gyms, spas, and internet cafes for two weeks, MalacaƱang announced Tuesday.
In his televised briefing, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque voted to temporarily close up these establishments in the National Capital Region until April 4.
Earlier, gym and spa service businesses were allowed to operate at limited capacity in Metro Manila, Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna and Rizal despite restrictions on non-essential travel within the bubble area.
“Sarado sa susunod na dalawang linggo ang mga gyms, spas at internet cafes,” said Roque.
“Alinsunod sa guideline na inissue ng (Department of Trade and Industry) na merong kapangyarihan ang (Local government units) na isara ang gyms, spas, and internet cafe, nagbotohan na po ang mga Metro Manila mayors at sarado po sa susunod na dalawang linggo ang gyms, spas at internet cafe,” he added.
