On this note, Sen. Panfilo Lacson turned the tables on presidential spokesman Herminio Roque Jr. for his claim Monday night that some politicians are using the pandemic issues to criticize the government.
“Really? Harry, are you serious? Just because I criticize, pamumulitika na?” Lacson said in a post on his Twitter account.
“Wala akong tarpaulins. Pag nagbibigay ako ng ayuda sa mga nasalanta ng bagyo at iba pang nangangailangan, tulong lang talaga kaya walang media coverage. I can enumerate to you privately if you want proof,” he added.

On Monday night, Roque claimed politicking had intensified as the 2022 elections draw closer, with some using the pandemic as an issue to attack the Duterte administration.
Roque made the claim after President Rodrigo Duterte tried to deflect Lacson’s questions on the whereabouts of COVID-19 vaccines procured via loans entered into by the government.
Last week, Lacson noted that while the government had entered into billions of pesos in loans to buy vaccines, the question remains: “Nasaan ka, bakuna?”
