Vaccine shipment from COVAX faces ‘slight delay’ – Galvez

By Prince Golez

Expect a delay in the delivery of Covid-19 vaccines from the COVAX facility, vaccine czar Carlito Galvez said.

In a virtual presser Tuesday, Galvez said there would be a “slight delay” in the COVAX delivery of new vaccines, citing challenges in logistics.

So ang nakita po natin ay magkakaroon po ng tinatawag nating restrictions on the exports of these vaccines,” according to him.

But, Galvez said they are “trying our best” to facilitate the remaining commitment from COVAX.

COVAX is a global effort aimed at equitable access to Covid-19 vaccines. It is co-led by the World Health Organization, Gavi, and the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations.
