Davao del Norte Rep. Pantaleon Alvarez tested positive for COVID-19.
This was confirmed by his daughter Finance Assistant Secretary Paula Alvarez.
“Speaker Alvarez did test positive for the virus but he is not in any serious health condition. He is still in Davao Del Norte and is recovering at home. Thank you for your concern and for everyone’s prayers,” said the younger Alvarez.
Prior to the confirmation, there are rumors that the former Speaker was intubated.
“No, he is not or was intubated. Thank you for the concern,” added Asec. Alvarez.
