To dispel rumors of ill health, President Rodrigo Duterte played golf and rode his motorcycle on Malacañang grounds.
In photos and videos posted by his long-time aide on Saturday, Duterte was seen releasing the golf club and riding his bike at his official residence.
The Chief Executive will deliver his Talk to the People tomorrow, April 12, according to Senator Christopher Go.
“Nandito lang si Tatay Digong!!! Ang taong totoong Nagmamahal at NagMamalasakit sa ating mga kapwa Pilipino!! Di Plastic,” the lawmaker wrote as a caption.
“Panoorin nyo po ang video ngayon lang yan. Practice lang yan. Konting papawis lang dahil halos bawal lumabas. Ang Mag-react, Plastic!! Abangan nyo ang pagbabalik ni DIGONG bukas!!!” he added.
Duterte skipped his weekly public address last week after more than 40 of his security team tested positive for Covid-19.
On April 10, the Philippines recorded 12,674 new COVID cases, bringing the total confirmed infections to 853,209.
