President Rodrigo Duterte will resume his “Talk to the People” address tomorrow, April 12, Malacañang said.
Spokesman Harry Roque said Duterte will deliver his regular public address on Monday.
The Presidential Security Group (PSG) earlier recommended the suspension of the President’s activities after dozens of its personnel tested positive for coronavirus disease (Covid-19).
As of Thursday, a total of 41 PSG members have contracted the virus. Most of the infected personnel were assigned to man the Palace gates.
The last time Duterte was seen in public was on March 29 when he attended the ceremonial turnover of one million doses of Covid-19 vaccine the government purchased from Chinese drugmaker Sinovac Biotech.
Duterte’s recent absence from the public eye raised concerns about his health.
