The Department of the Interior and Local Government extended the deadline for the distribution of cash aid to May 15, Malacañang announced Tuesday.
Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque cited the prohibition on mass gatherings to protect public health during the coronavirus pandemic.
President Rodrigo Duterte earlier approved the release of P22.9 billion to individuals affected by the recent two-week enhanced community quarantine in Metro Manila, Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna and Rizal.
Each recipient would receive financial or in-kind assistance worth P1,000 or up to P4,000 per family.
