Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles on Sunday thanked Filipinos for setting up community pantries to support those severely affected by Covid-19 pandemic.
In an interview on Dobol B sa News TV, Nograles said the government needs all the help it can get.
“Ang laban na ito hindi lang naman government kundi lahat naman tayo involved dito. Siyempre winiwelcome naman din natin ang mga initiatives ng private sector at maging ang ating ordinaryong mga mamamayan na gustong tumulong sa kapwa nating Pilipino,” according to the Palace official.
“Malaking bagay po yun para sa amin. Kami ay lubos na nagpapasalamat sa lahat ng gumagawa ng sarili nilang initiatives at mga kailangan na nakikita nila na kailangang gawin,” he added.
Nograles assured the public that the Duterte administration has been working to assist industries impacted by the pandemic.
“Kami naman sa government, sa lahat ng aspeto ng governance, kino-cover naman natin ang lahat, whether it’s from health to social services to economy. Lahat naman yan ginagawan natin ng paraan, hinahanapan natin ng solusyon,” he said.
