Malacañang said it understands the decision of the United States to warn its citizens against traveling to the Philippines due to the rising cases of Covid-19 in the country.
“Naintindihan naman po natin yan. Habang patuloy ang pandemya, entitled ang mga bansa na mag warn sa kanilang nationals,” Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said during his televised briefing Thursday.
Roque also cited the existing ban on the entry of foreign nationals to the Philippines until April 30.
As of April 21, the Philippine reported a total of 962,307 confirmed cases, of which 116,434 were active cases and 16,265 died.
