Trillanes joins TikTok to connect with youth

Former Senator Antonio Trillanes IV is joining the list of politikos getting in on the TikTok action.

Give the meteoric rise of the social media app, Trillanes launched his TikTok account (@trillanessonny) so he can reach out to the youth. His latest social media account comes amid rumors the former senator may eye a political comeback next year.

“Hi everyone! I’m now on Tiktok. To my fellow Tiktokers, see you there!” Trillanes wrote on Facebook, sharing a link of his TikTok account.

There was no lip-syncing or dancing video on Trillanes’s first TikTok post. He said he joined the platform after learning that young Filipinos are widely using the social media app. He asked his viewers about the topics they want to discuss.

Trillanes’ first TikTok post, posted on April 23, has so far earned more than 5,000 likes.
