Work from home’s the norm: House moves resumption of regular work setup to May 3

By Billy Begas

The House of Representatives will not resume its regular work this week.

Based on the Memorandum obtained by Politiko, the skeletal workforce of the House will continue and the regular work operations shall resume on May 3 “to ensure the safety” of officials and employees from COVID-19.

From April 12 to 28, the Office of the Secretary General, Administrative Department, Engineering and Physical Facilities Department, Finance Department, Legislative Operations Department, Legislative Security Bureau and Information and Communications Technology Service shall maintain skeletal forces for two or three days per week depending on their workload.

“All other offices shall observe alternative work arrangement from home,” the Memorandum read.

The Medical and Dental Service shall conduct antigen tests from Monday to Wednesday for those who will report during the skeletal week period.
