‘Di lang empleyado protektado: Ateneo eyes COVID-19 vaccination for students

The Ateneo de Manila University (ADMU) is considering the inclusion of its students in its COVID-19 vaccination program when it gets enough supplies of the vaccine.

According to ADMU’s COVID-19 portal, the school hopes to order more vaccines should they become more accessible through private companies.

“With that possibility, then our students, aside from those in the medical and allied courses as part of A1 priority list by the Department of Health (DOH) and the national government’s Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF), can be vaccinated and have added protection against the virus if and when we are already allowed to go back onsite for our classes,” ADMU said.

The university said it will be buying Moderna and Covovax vaccines with the help of the private sector for its employees. The jabs will be administered by AC Health, a division of the Ayala Corporation.

ADMU will shoulder the cost of vaccination for both full-time and part-time employees.
